This homeowner was seeking more outdoor living space, which required a multi-level renovation. When we joined the project, there was only one rear deck in poor condition, with insufficient space for entertaining. The whole space needed to be reimagined. Our in-house design team developed a plan to rebuild the existing deck and add storage underneath (which features custom doors and panels). The new deck features a built-in grilling area – both covered and vented – along with bar seating that’s ideal for hosting and entertaining.

Our team also added a two-story deck on the opposite end of the house, connected by a staircase. In the upper porch, the pine flooring makes it feel like an extension of the interior living space. Because the porch is screened-in, the family can enjoy and entertain all year round. The fireplaces on both the upper porch and lower patio make the spaces feel cozy.

Through this addition and renovation, we ultimately created three new outdoor living spaces for this family – all customized to their needs and designed for entertaining, grilling, playing games, relaxing by the fire, and spending time with loved ones. Each space boasts unique details, yet they feel cohesive and flow seamlessly into one another.
