Our team converted a dark, damp, unfinished basement into usable entertaining space for this client. To start, we gutted the basement and removed the old concrete slab floor. Then we installed new plumbing for the powder room and bar, a new HVAC system and new electrical. Lastly, our design coordinator Katherine Yeager implemented all the design details that make the space so unique.
Standout features include custom millwork in the bar construction, antique tile mirrors incorporated in the bar backsplash, a custom bookcase that functions as a secret entrance to the wine room, and exposed brick throughout. Pops of color on the walls and in the décor add a touch of fun to the industrial space.
The finished basement looks and feels like a speakeasy, which aligns with the client’s vision. Time to pour a drink, put on a favorite record, and enjoy the renovated space!
