For this kitchen renovation, we took a cramped galley-style space and transformed it into a large eat-in style kitchen for a family of four. Our goal was to boost functionality, while preserving the home’s 1920s charm. Our team and trade partners achieved this by incorporating design elements like aged brass hardware, which adds a touch of warmth to the new modern cabinets. Marble countertops and refinished hardwoods stay true to the character of the home, but give new life to the space.
While the project focused on the kitchen, we also updated the laundry room and walk-in mudroom to be more convenient and aesthetically pleasing. Our team also designed a built-in desk area and workspace adjacent to the kitchen for every family member to enjoy.
What was once a tight, cramped layout on the main floor has transformed into several well-designed spaces that maximize the family’s daily routine. Each space shares similar design features – marble countertops, wooden shelves and warm colors and textures – that flow beautifully to create a cohesive look.
