This client’s existing kitchen did not function well for a growing family of four – it had a small footprint and very little counter space. Our challenge involved reimagining the layout and making the space feel larger without adding any square footage.
Our team enjoyed this creative opportunity, and we came up with a new design plan to improve both function and aesthetic. In the new layout, the kitchen cabinets wrap around to maximize every inch, creating more prep space and a bonus drop zone. The large 8-foot sliding window over the sink provides more natural light and a view onto the back deck. The two-tone cabinetry blends the couple’s bold style with the classic charm and character of the home, a priority for the homeowners. The quartz countertops offer family-friendly durability, while the warm brass hardware and pendants add warmth. The beautiful arch detail mimics the arch leading into the dining room to create consistency throughout the home.
Our clients have shared that everyone who visits their home loves the kitchen, saying “It’s so much bigger now, where do you get the space?” The truth is, we didn’t. That’s the power of a renovation – a new layout completed by a design-build team can make all the difference. We’re so excited for this family to enjoy their new kitchen for many years to come!
