Every year in the spring and fall, ICON's design team attends High Point Market to stay up to date on the best products and latest trends to include in our projects.
High Point Market occurs twice a year in the furniture capital of the world. With over 11,500,000 sq. ft. of showroom space, it features every furniture piece, lighting fixture, and home decor item you could imagine.
In late October, I spent the day with our ICON Custom Builders design coordinators: Katherine, Melissa, and Amanda. We visited countless showrooms in High Point, NC. With so much to see, we prioritized testing the comfort and quality of the furniture, gathering fabric samples, and connecting with trade partners to build those relationships.
Year after year, the spring and fall market is such a valuable experience. When tackling a home remodeling project, clients put so much trust in us. We want to trust the products we install in their homes. It’s important to examine furniture and fixtures in person instead of on a computer screen.
We analyze every detail so you can have full confidence in our design selections when working with us. This year, we walked away with some new favorite products to recommend to our clients.
We noticed a lot of trends featured throughout the showrooms – mixing patterns and textures, treating shades of green and blue as a neutral, and implementing bold, geometric hardware. Cordless lighting was also a highlight.
We could spend an entire week at High Point Furniture Market and still not see everything. However, we’re thrilled with the showrooms we got to explore, the people we got to meet, and the connections we made.
We’re excited to take all the inspiration we gained and channel it into our upcoming projects for both ICON Custom Builders and ICON Interiors. And we’re already looking forward to the spring market in April 2025!
