The goal of this renovation was to create more space for living and entertaining, all year long, in every season. To achieve this, we combined a home remodel with a home addition.
The homeowner’s existing deck was too small for entertaining, and it provided no protection from the sun. To solve these problems, we added a 300 sq. ft. covered porch and concrete patio. We implemented an Eze-Breeze porch enclosure system that allows the windows to completely retract and create a screened-in porch.
To continue the homeowner’s love of purple in her home, we painted the beadboard ceiling an unexpected lavender. This adds a touch of whimsy to the space, while the dual-sided stone fireplace adds a cozy factor. The fireplace is remote-controlled with the ability to adjust flame height, interior lights, and heat output. These details ensure a space that is customizable and comfortable year-round.
The beautiful indoor-outdoor space floods with natural light making it the perfect place to entertain friends and family, curl up with a good book, or relax by the fireplace. We call this sunroom a “four seasons room” and it really lives up to its name!
