These homeowners had previously worked with ICON Interiors, so we were excited when they wanted to partner with both ICON Interiors and ICON Custom Builders to refresh their primary bedroom and bathroom. Through our thoughtful design process, we collaborated to make these spaces feel more aligned with their personal style.
While new decor and design selections improved the primary bedroom, the bulk of the renovation occurred in the bathroom. While the layout, plumbing, and storage closet location didn’t change – our team completely gutted the bathroom. Then came the fun part – diving into the design! Designers Katherine and Melissa worked together to design a new light and airy primary bathroom.
“We have worked with Paige many times,” Katherine shared. “We know that she gravitates towards soft blues, and we wanted this bathroom to feel fresh and serene.”
Several details made this modern bathroom renovation a success. Cottage white cabinets accented with gold hardware brighten up the room that was initially much darker. The natural stone quartzite countertop grounds the space, bringing out shades of blue, gray, and cream, and beautifully contrasting the lighter cabinets. Custom millwork around the vanity mirrors, as well as the fun accent light fixture in the middle of the room, make the space feel elevated and finished.
The rectangular sink aligns with the homeowners’ contemporary aesthetic and helps to modernize their more traditional-style home. Even basic plumbing fixtures received an upgrade. “It was our first time getting to use this new Brizo faucet style in a bathroom space, and we absolutely love it,” Katherine shared.
The storage tower next to the vanity creates more accessible storage for bathroom essentials. There’s a pull-out drawer for makeup and even a drawer designed for hot tools with a built-in outlet. This improved functionality allows for clear surfaces at all times – no messy, tangled cords creating clutter on the countertop.
