This multi-space renovation included updates to the kitchen and wet bar, as well as the laundry room. To showcase all the unique details of this project, let’s explore the remodeling process and design decisions by space.
In the kitchen, we worked within the existing floor plan but removed the wall between the kitchen and eat-in kitchen to create a large opening. Creatively hiding a large brick wall behind cabinetry allowed for a full pantry with hidden microwave and appliance storage.
Incorporating a giant island that is large enough to seat six people aligned with the homeowner’s goal to host more often. While the countertops are primarily quartzite, the wooden butcher block creates the feel of a dining table. The prep sink in composite granite (as opposed to stainless steel) blends in with the countertop and provides durability.
A textured subway tile backsplash offers movement through its tone on tone effect. The unlacquered brass hardware will patina over time. Our designers strategically placed the pendant lights – two highlight the cooking prep space, while the third acts as a decorative light fixture over the dining table.
