We focused on many spaces in our client’s home throughout this project. On the first floor, we added 385 sq. ft. off the back to create a new primary bedroom and walk-in closet. With a second baby on the way, a suite on the main floor was a priority for the homeowners. The existing first floor bedroom became a new entry hallway and primary bathroom.
The new primary suite wasn’t the only update on the main floor – the guest bath also received a refresh. Since the primary closet eliminated the exterior window, we incorporated a fun patterned wallpaper to complete the space. Changing the duct work allowed us to repurpose a walled-in closet and convert it into a built-in niche in the kitchen, creating a beautiful coffee bar.
On the second floor, we turned the small existing bathroom into a Jack and Jill bath complete with a separate vanity and water closet for each bedroom, with a shared tub/shower space. We accomplished this without having to move any windows.
The final details to complete the transformation? A new concrete patio out back, which was made possible by the home addition. Lastly, a new exterior paint color made the home feel fresh and finished, and provided the “wow factor” we strive for on every project.
