Project Details

For this remodeling project, we divided the existing basement to create three functional spaces. The end result is an entertaining space, a playroom, and a new guest bedroom. The renovation entailed new paint, lighting, flooring and furniture. We matched the existing hardwood floors for continuity throughout each space. One of the biggest upgrades is the new electrical plan. While the space can feel dark and moody like the client envisioned, the LED lights can create the opposite effect when needed. 

We collaborated with ICON Interiors for the design selections and furnishings. Drenching the space in Benjamin Moore vintage vogue – from the walls to the trim to the ceiling – served as the foundation for this mountain retreat. Antique brass details add warmth to the space, and the wall of windows allows plenty of natural light. The remodeled basement feels elevated and sophisticated, while remaining kid-friendly and cozy. 

This basement transformed into a true multi-purpose space that will provide enjoyment for both children and adults for many years to come.
