This major kitchen renovation was a group effort by our architect, design coordinator and project manager. This client had lived in her home for 25 years and was finally ready to create the kitchen of her dreams, along with a few other key spaces. The project involved transforming the existing garage and kitchen into a larger kitchen, beverage bar, mudroom, laundry room and office area.
Our client had classic taste and wanted to stay true to the age and character of her 1970s home. We were able to achieve her style vision, while improving the layout and making it feel more open and bright. The open floor plan allows the cozy family room to flow into the kitchen area – perfect for entertaining. Our design coordinator Katherine Yeager incorporated some fun elements – like the pop of color in the navy blue island. Our client calls this large island “the heart of the home” – it’s where she works, eats, and entertains.
Expert attention to detail throughout the renovation process allowed the existing and newly-renovated spaces to tie together seamlessly. The result? A custom remodeled home that our client will enjoy for the next 25 years.
This project was featured in Forsyth Woman Magazine in December 2021.
